School starts in a couple weeks. Senior year. i'm overwhelmed with college things and work things and friend things. I actually have to have a portfolio done. Like, soon. D:

Words fail me at the moment. Good time to write a journal, right?

I'm back from Missouri Fine Arts Academy. I thought I was MORE than ready to come home until this morning when I was finishing packing. It only got worse as I moved out, and when I saw my friends crying at closing convocation. I miss everyone already.

A lot of great things happened there, and I met some amazing people. I want to keep in touch with everyone single one of them. You never know when a good friend or connection could come in handy.

I posted most of the work I made while there; really, not much, considering I had three weeks. But I feel like I learned a lot.

I'm going to have to get used to regular life again. Sigh.

School is out in two weeks. I leave for Missouri Fine Arts Academy June 8. Hopefully I will find time in between there to make some things. I've been itchin to paint some more. I just don't have time right now. Of course, I will make plenty of things at MFAA, but I doubt I'll be able to upload anything until I get back at the end of the month. So expect a big spam of crap from me around then.

Let's see... What else? I'm working on a linoleum print that I'll have finished soon. More boring self portraiture. I've never done a linoleum portrait before, though. Still working on the same animation. If I get around to it, I'll find a creative way to upload stills of that and still communicate the movement of it.

Not gonna lie; some of the individual drawings are a bit... Sketchy. But you only are supposed to see them for a fraction of a second, anyway! Maybe I'll just blur the stills a whole lot. Yeah.

Between AP tests and homework and finals and work and my sorry attempt at a social life, I am dead. But I will have more soon! Pinky swear.

I've been extremely unproductive lately. But, I do have some new things to show you. I'm finishing up a series of intaglio prints that I will post in the near future. I'm also working on an animation project. Maybe I'll post some of that in scraps.

Uhh. So I've been detached from my computer for a while. First it broke, then my intrawebs broke. But all is well now. As you can see from my updates, I've been doing terribly, terribly interesting things. Like, three-hour-long-charcoal-still-lifes-two-nights-a-week. Such is Drawing I at SCC. I don't think I'll be taking Drawing II. Commercial Illustration next semester will be better, I think.

The only slightly intriguing stuff I've been working on is more self portraits. Maybe they're just intriguing to me because I'm narcissistic.
But I digress. I'll post some WIP pics of them. One is just slightly more conceptual than I usually go, and the other is life-size, full body. SO interesting, I know.

But yeah. I'll update those again when I finish them. Maybe I'll get some of my printmaking things too. Who knows.
